St. Patrick's Day 5K, Parade & Brunch in Southie

Last weekend Aunt Penny, Uncle Bobby, Joe and Michelle came down to Boston to compete in the St. Patrick's Day 5K Race in South Boston with me, Tracy and a few of our friends.  D espite the terrible  weather (it poured!), we made the best of it and all had a great time  Joe and I finished the race in 26 minutes and change (a personal record for both of us), Michelle crossed the finish line around minute 35 and the rest of the gang finished strong in approximately 45 minutes.

After the race, we all went over to a friend's place for a delicious brunch and to watch the St. Patrick's Day parade.  I couldn't believe how many people still took part in the parade with the weather as bad as it was.  Luckily we were able to enjoy it all by watching through the apartment window while drinking mimosas and coffee with baileys and not getting wet!

Brock and I decided to get a real Christmas tree this year.  We decorated it last night and it was so much fun.  I can't wait until we start collecting meaningful ornaments.  Isn't it beautiful?!?

Gonyo's Early Thanksgiving Dinner in Boston, MA

I am so excited that we are celebrating Thanksgiving early in Boston this year and that everyone is able to make the trip.  I've created a dinner menu for Saturday night and posted it below.  Please let me know if I'm missing anything or if you don't want to make what I've assigned you.  We can make a trip to the grocery store on Friday night or Saturday morning to get any supplies we may need.

Happy Halloween!

This year for Halloween Brock and I stayed home, handed out candy to the kids in our neighborhood and

watched the movie Orphan with Tracy.  Summary of the day is as follows:

1. Someone stole all of our pumpkins off of our porch so we didn't get to carve our pumpkins...bummer!
2. We had a record number of trick-or-treaters this year. 
3. A total fo 15 kids..yay!
4. The movie Orphan is very scary.  I probably left bruises on Tracy's arm I was squeezing her so hard.
5. Fenway makes a really cute devil!
